I am sorry to hear that you went through such an awful dental ordeal. Yes, you can make a Medical Malpractice claim. You need to contact a local Medical Malpractice Attorney in your area that deals with dental issues. They will order your records and have a dental expert review them to see if what happened was indeed malpractice, and if the damages (injuries) are large enough. Go ahead and make the appointment. Usually the consolation is free, so you have nothing to lose. Best of luck.

It takes 4-6 months for your gums to heal for dentures, but temporary dentures can be made in the meantime, and a local dental malpractice lawyer can certainly order your records to investigate a claim.

If the wrong tooth was pulled then there is the basis for a claim. The value of having the wrong tooth pulled in and of itself is not very high. Other factors may increase the value. I suggest you speak with an attorney who handles medical negligence cases in your area.
