What is the statute of limitations to foreclose after accelleration in NY State?
I accellerated a note with out filing a mortgage January 1, 2008. Received no more payments after this date. Is it to late to foreclose?

The Statute of Limitations is six years from acceleration. You can try to foreclose, but you lose if they raise the statute of limitations as a defense, which is an affirmative defense.
