I slipped on wet floor due to no wet floor signage and am suffering major back pain. What should I do?

Yesterday morning I visited a local restaurant for a to -go breakfast. Upon entering the restaurant, I slipped and nearly fell down about 3 times due to a massive amount of soapy water the worker had on the floor, which by the way was NOT marked by a wet floor sign. In my attempt to catch myself from falling, I severly strained my already bad back. I immediately brought this to workers attention and suggested they put down a" wet floor "sign. And without an apology or anything to me, the employee informed the coworker who had moped the floor to put down a WET FLOOR sign. IAfter catching my breath and establishing my balance, I took out my cell phone and took some video coverage of the floor. I also shot video of the employee as she was putting down the "wet floor' sign. The pain that I immediately experienced from the strain was terrible. I'm still in terrible pain. I tried to get some relief yesterday by taking some tylenol and using a heating pad. I feel the strain and the pain which shoots from my neck through the mid of my back. Unfortunately, I do not have any health insurance. What should I do? Do I have a case? Or must I suffer in silence? Can this restaurant and these employees be held responsible for their negligence?
This information is given for educational purposes only. No attorney-client relationship exists between us.
You do not have to suffer in silence, but you do need to see an attorney to guide you through the process of submitting your claim and maximizing your recovery, monetary and physical. Try the link for an attorney in your area to assist you.
One question you may have to answer is why did you step into "a massive amount of soapy water the worker had on the floor"? If you saw that the floor had soapy water, why did you get into the water? Reasonable persons do not need a sign to avoid obvious dangers.
Moreover, you apparently already had a bad back. Will you be able to prove the damage to your back from this fall?
Many businesses have insurance that will cover some medical expenses for injured persons without regard to whose fault (the business's or the person's) caused the injuries.
You can review your facts and options with several attorneys in your area to see if one or more attorneys will be interested in your case. Your attorneys will discuss with you your possible claims and the business's possible defenses.
Even with the additional information, the answer remains just about the same. You can make a written demand (certified mail) to the owner or franchisee of the business for your medical bills if you have any. Unfortunately, if you don't have any bills, you are unlikely to get anything. That's why I suggested getting an attorney to help you. Your video may improve your chances, but generally, it's difficult to get compensation for a slip and fall claim.
