Can I apply for a CPT application with pending AOS?

I applied for adjustment of status (I-485) as a dependent on my husband (Employment-based). I'm currently on F1-VISA and have a summer internship opportunity. I applied for EAD card, but it didn't get approved yet (still waiting). Is it possible to apply for CPT (Curricular practical training)? If so, does applying for CPT means abandoning my I-485 application?

No, you cannot get CPT approved under F-1 status after filing a marriage-based adjustment case: You have firmly expressed immigrant intent by filing the I-485. Wait for the EAD card you have already applied for and start the internship when you get it.
