I have an open warrant in WA state, I live in CA. I do not want to have to fly back up to deal with this in person, do I have to

After being charged with a DUI following a (manic episode induced) breathalyzer refusal, I received a Wet Reckless conviction. Following the manic episode, seeking treatment, my parents moved me down to CA. I have been living here for about 3 years now, and just recently moved within state again. Upon calling my PO to tell him of this new address change, he informs me that I was supposed to return to WA after my inpatient treatment and have an active bench warrant out now because of that. My PO is less than helpful, he just threatens me with jail and arrests. I need an advocate to fight for me in WA, because I am not going to fly back to be arrested.
You need to contact a lawyer in Washington to assist you.
Without knowing the specifics of Washington law, I don't think you're going to get far by telling your probation officer to go do something anatomically impossible, especially if the terms of your probation required you to continue to live in Washington.

Contact some Washington criminal defense attorneys on this website. An attorney might be able to resolve the probation issues without you returning to WA. Most likely you will have to return to WA though. Without an attorney helping you, it would be very difficult to resolve the case from out of state.
Best of luck, Michael Larsen
I would caution against the notion you seem to harbor that you are somehow in control of this situation. I predict a bad outcome eventually given your attitude. Retain competent counsel in WA and good luck. You should definitely let your attorney do the talking in court.
