My friend (female) is 18 She is dating a 16 year old (female) her birthday is in October and her parents arnt OK with her dating a female. So they have a court order saying my friend cannot talk to there daughter. Well now they still talk and the parents found out And are threatening to put her in jail. What will happen?
If there is a court order directing your friend to not do a particular action and she violates it, she can be charged. Judges don't like it when people disobey court orders. Your friend needs to immediately stop speaking with this other person. It sounds like her parents are not playing around. If charged, she needs an attorney.
I had a not dissimilar case a few years ago, here in FL, and it was a boy and a girl. The parents got a restraining order against the boy, and he still contacted the girl. He was prosecuted for the crime of violating the restraining order. I do not know for sure if that can be done in LA, but it probably can. Why are you asking for a friend. It appears to me that there is no friend involved when someone asks questions like this one, but that it is the person in trouble who is actually asking. The cops scour the internet, including sites like this, looking for evidence of crime. This forum is public, it is not confidential, and your friend needs to speak with a criminal defense attorney and stop contacting the grilfriend at all, not even a text message or an email, not directly or indirectly.
