My Fiancee lives in SriLanka, I visited her 2 weeks back and we decided to get married in USA. I'm a US Citizen, living in california, I started the Green card process for my parents a year back and the case is still in process. Now, can I submit K1 petition for my fiancee ? What are the supporting docs I need to submit to expedite the process ? What is the typical process time

Yes, you can submit a petition for your fiancee, the "green card process" you initiated on your parents' behalf notwithstanding. There is absolutely no way for "expediting" a Fiancee petition with either USCIS or the consulate overseas. Being smart about it, however, and hiring one of the best immigration lawyers money can buy to assist you throughout the entire process, will literally shave months off the process, and...let both of you live longer.. (An "RFE" sent by USCIS alone could easily add 2-3 months to the process, something which should not happen if you hired a reputable and experienced lawyer..)

I'll be honest ... there is absolutely nothing you can do to expedite your fiancee's K-1. Accept the fact that it will take 5-8 months and you will have less sleepless nights. Hiring an attorney could save a month, or so.

You can certainly submit the FORM I-129F on behalf of your fiancée if you did not marry her in Sri Lanka. However, you can not expedite the process. You should retain an experienced immigration attorney to minimize errors and perhaps maximize the processing time. Good luck to you.

I am assuming you are financially able to support all three petitions.

Hi there -- you may file the K1 petition and there is no process to expedite. But you can save on wait/processing time working with a knowledgeable immigration attorney. As for the petition for your parents you should also have an attorney look into this delay, if you filed it yourself. Immediate relative petitions do not usually take this long to process. Good luck!

You can't expedite anything with regards to USCIS especially K1 Visas. What you need to do is hire a very competent immigration lawyer (NOT a "document preparer" or a "Paralegal Service") to represent you and make sure this is done correctly. If everything is done correctly USCIS has fewer roadblocks to stop you. The reason why you cannot "expedite" anything EVEN with an attorney is that immigrants have privileges, nto rights, in this country and one of those privileges is using USCIS to obtain immigration benefits you are not normally entitled to as a citizen. That means USCIS can do what they want and when they want to and there's really ntohing you an do about it. Be patient and wait for USCIS to go through the process. Fiance visas are as "fast" as you will get anyways.
