How much does a B1/B2 visa cancellation with I-275 and non-fraudulent charges affect the I-130 petition?

I'm a Canadian PR married to a US citizen. While traveling to see my husband a few weeks on my visitors visa I was denied entry, specifically the visitors visa was cancelled due to "not strong enough" ties to Canada. I was asked to return with a K-3 visa and was told that the events of that day wouldn't affect my case. We have now started an I-130 petition however, I'm still paranoid about how much the above incident will actually affect my case. Thanks

If you were denied and you withdrew your Application for admission, then there is hope. It is unclear whether you were charged for something more serious. This may complicate matters. I strongly recommend an appointment or teleconference with a competent and experienced immigration attorney, who can review the documents that you received from CBP. Good luck.

If you were allowed to withdraw your request for admission and an expedited removal order was not issued by CBP, the incident will not have any impact on the FORM I – 130.

You should be OK and you will be wise to talk to an attorney ... many of us use Skype ... as soon as possible ... just filing the I-130 may not be a good idea AND ... getting the K-3 is rarely a good idea.
