I have 2 DUI, 1 public intoxication and 1 open container conviction. Will these be bars to naturalization?

The last one of these was in 2004. I have been a LPR since 2006 and have not been in trouble with the law since. Will any of the above cause a problem when I apply for naturalization?

These convictions will not bar you from being able to naturalize, but might affect the immigration officer's discretion when evaluating whether you are a person of good moral character. Since the occurred more than 10 years ago, you are probably safe, but any additional evidence you submit to show that you have changed for the better in the last decade will only help.

You should hire a local immigration attorney immediately to advise of what immigration consequences you are facing.

I completely agree with my colleague - these are probably too old to prevent you from naturalizing. But if you are worried, consult an attorney to review the charges and help prepare you for the naturalization process.

I agree that its best to have the facts reviewed by an experienced immigration attorney who is aware of the overall effects of criminal convictions within the State(s) of adjudication. Good luck.

your offenses before 2006 does not count as long as you indicated them in your adjustment application, if you did not then your residency is in jeopardy. the statutory period to show good moral character is 5 years before filing. you need to have a certified copy of your records reviewed by an attorney for best advise.

They are unlikely to pose a bar to US citizenship but better meet with an immigration attorney for a full review before filing.
