Can I be put on child support, if I never took a DNA test for the child or wrote on the birth certificate?

The mother of my daughter is trying to put me on child support and she does not have my daughter! My daughter stays with her cousin in Georgia and we are from Mississippi but I'm in the navy, so I move around a lot but I send money, clothes, pampers etc. to her cousin so im always helping and doing things for her.
You'll have to contest paternity if and when you get served. You should receive "notice" of any proceeding establishing child support.
Alternatively, you can file a petition for paternity and to establish a parenting plan / time-sharing schedule, don't forget to request a DNA test if you have ANY doubts about the child's paternity.
I don't know what the process is in MS or GA. However, if you were never married to the mother, there needs to be some sort of judicial determination that you are the biological father. Typically, that involves a lawsuit where you have the right to request a DNA test. I have seen cases where a man is held to be the father (and made to pay child support) because he ignore a lawsuit.

Until there is a paternity order you have no legal obligation to support this child, but also no legal rights to timesharing with her. If you have doubts that she is yours, you have a right to demand a DNA test.
If she is yours then you have a legal obligation to support her, but you also have the right to timesharing (visitation) and to be a part of her life. You need to man up and decide to take steps to be a part of your daughter's life, even if that means legal action.
