First name is missing a letter. Green card says Mohamed and passport says Mohammed. Everything else matches. Will it be an issue

I'm traveling to DR with my wife and daughter on vacation and wanted to make sure the letter missing from my green card won't cause an issue. Thanks

Not an issue at all - rest assured. An oft made mistake with "Mohammeds". One "m" or two "m", will make no difference - no CBP officer looks at every letter of a name any way.. And if one particularly alert one will, then the missing letter issue is easily resolvable, in your favor. Even the most "out of it" CBP officer will be able to understand that the "two of you" are in fact that same.. Mohammed. Go in peace!

You will need your passport to travel abroad and not a U.S. resident card. You will need the U. S. resident card to enter the United States. At your earliest convenience, you either have to amend your passport or amend the name in your resident card. Good luck to you.

How long have you had your greencard? How long have you known of this 'error'? If possible, fix the passport, if it is incorrect, or fix the greencard. Check your I-485 to see what name you put on the forms(s).
