Hello, I am 35 years old living in Jordan, having temporary Jordanian passport without national number, and without nationality.I have two kids having USA passports and they stay in Jordan by Residence permit issued yearly, their ages are 3 years and 1 year. Me and my wife are looking for a way to stay and work in the United States. Please advise.

i hear you.. You don't simply want to wait until Daesh ("ISIS") is on the outskirts of Amman and the remnants of the brave Jordanian legion are about to fight one last battle, despite their King having already flown to safety elsewhere.. Either you or your spouse could have an employer petition one of you for a J-1 "internship" or "training" visa, H-3 training visa or apply for an F-1 student visa. And if you start feeling more and more in danger, you can request asylum in the US at the border. I understand you are not Jordanian citizens and thus cannot apply for either E-1 or E-2 visas.

You should explore the E-1 or the E-2 visas which are applicable to citizens of Jordan. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced and qualified immigration attorney to assist you.

There are options to live and work in the United States, but it is difficult to assess the best option for you based upon the limited family. You may be able to pursue an E-1 or E-2 no immigrant visa. You should consider consulting an experienced immigration attorney for a more fact-specific assessment.

You can start by examining the various ways to secure immigration (green card) status and nonimmigrant (work visa) status in the US. The USCIS website has excellent menus on the various benefits available, the requirements and what the procedures for processing contains. You should then set up a meeting with an experienced immigration attorney and discuss the various options. Good luck.
