My girlfriend is independent and want to have a child. She makes good money, I do not. Is it possible to enter a legal agreement with her (a pre-child) which exempt me from any financial obligation to my son with her?

The short answer is no. The long answer is that child support is due to the child, not the parent and the child cannot divest itself of its right to support, so no. If you decide to so this, then you are putting yourself in a position wherein you will rely upon the mother to not go after you for support.

No. Child Support is mandated and regulated by statute. It is not something that can be negotiated away in an agreement. Assuming that paternity can be established, then you will liable for child support until the child turns 21 in New York state.
