i got this back and february and plead guilty and i got 20 hrs community service. Because of an accident i was in a few weeks later i could not complete it due to not being able to get around, They extended it once but when i finally got a car and went back to tell them the situation he revoked the deal and now im going to trial after a not guilty plea. im looking to get it reduced and i have court in a few days. what would you suggest i do?

It looks like you were originally given some sort of deferred prosecution because if you already pleaded guilty you would not be going to trial now. You can always plead guilty, but if you can fight the charge it would be worth it to try. You should consult with a local attorney as soon as possible and strongly consider retaining his or her services. There is only a fine if you plead or are found guilty, so there is nothing to reduce at this point. There may be a minimum fine which a local attorney can also advise you about.

U should definitely hire an attorney. Judge gave u one big break he is not goin to give u another. Now the police department officer who have u the ticket will present. He will try to work case out w u if u don't take his recommendation u will go to trial. Judge has to find u guilty by clear and convincing evidence or not guilty. I face a fine and possible loss of lic on a texting ticket.

To do it yourself you will speak to the prosecutor. You will speak with the prosecutor in a last ditch effort to resolve this without trial, before the trial begins on your court date.... If no suitable resolution can be reached, you will go to trial. You can certainly do all of this Pro Se (meaning in your own) however I highly recommend getting an attorney for case, most of us here on give a free consultation, with your court date so close you really need to call soon
