Is it possible to be a derivative beneficiary for a green card if I am 27 years old?

I have been trying to pay the USCIS fees for our green card. My grandmother is the petioner and my mother the principal beneficiary and me as derivative beneficiary. I called the USCIS online service to help me set an elis account to pay the fees. Xhile talking to the agent he seems to say that the I-130 won't apply to me because I am overage. There's something very unclear about this paper and I would like to discuss that with someone who can help me undersand the letter we received. I can email it to a lawyer if possible.

There us a very fact and date specific analysis that needs to take place to see if you still qualify as a derivative under CSPA or if there is 245i or what. I recommend you take all your documents to an immigration attorney to re view carefully.

A 27 year old may still be eligible if there is at least a 6 year period between the date the I-130 was filed and the date of the i-130 approval notice. Good luck.

It's going to depend on when the petition was filed, your age at the time the filing, and how long it took them to adjudicate the petition. Consult with an experienced immigration lawyer to evaluate your case.
