Hi i am a US resident since 2010 and i was going back and forth to my country ..for the last 2 years i had a severe car accident that prevented me from going back to the united states, now im back to Texas and its has been 6 months since im here .. i have a medical report certified from country's health department and from my country's ministry of foreign affairs .. in this coming June i would finish my 5 years since i became a US resident.. my question is.. I'm a eligible to apply for US citizenship if i provide the medical reports that proves that i was incapable of going back to the united states for the last 2 years ? is there anything in the law that i can base my case on it?

Hi, I would also recommend you to check out the following document or consult with an experienced immigration attorney. It may not be one of the permissible exceptions listed at http://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume12-PartD-Chapter5.html
