Can I get multiple copies of divorce papers to serve my ex who is MIA?

My ex is homeless. A few of our mutual acquaintances run into him randomly. Can I get multiple copies of the papers so I can give each person a set to serve, whoever runs into him first?
What "papers" are you referring to? When you file anything with the court, you usually present to them an original and two copies. The court will "conform" the two copies to show proof that you have filed an original with the court. You can then photocopy the "conformed" copies as many times as you want to have your ex served. If service is problematic, then there is always the option of doing service of process by publication after you prove your due diligence in trying to serve him and you also get permission from the court to accomplish a service by publication.
As long as someone is over 18, they can serve process on someone. So yes, you can make copies of the summons and petition, give it to multiple persons, and see who serves him first.
