Where can I find a blank PDF version of a Motion of Reconsideration?

I'm being evicted, although I have a signed settlement agreement. I went to court recently because the landlord's attorney wanted to have the judgment entered and the premises recovered for non-payment, based on circumstances that were caused by his client's lack of cooperation. The judge didn't enter the judgment, and extended the deadline for full payment to be received. I've been working with a rental assistance agency. They need written confirmation of the deadline extension, which they've requested more than once from the landlord's attorney. The deadline extension has since passed, again as a result of the landlord's [attorney] lack of cooperation. It was suggested to file this, and ask for another extension - for which the written record could be provided.

You need counsel right away. If you cannot afford counsel please take the time to seek out a non-profit in the bay area--there are many--who work with tenants. The motion you are referring to does not seem appropriate at all. Get counsel on your side to coordinate with landlord counsel and resolve this.

Normally, if a Judge granted/ordered an extension of time, the place to get a copy of it (plain or certified) is directly from the court. Opposing counsel may be willing to accommodate you but is not normally required to do your legal legwork for you. All in all, my colleague is absolutely right - you need to review everything with a local landlord-tenant attorney IMMEDIATELY or you will likely find yourself looking for a new place to live immediately but with an eviction on your rental record. And that will make finding a new place difficult.

If you signed a settlement agreement, a motion for reconsideration would not be the appropriate document to file. You are going to need a specially prepared document to advise the court about the landlord's attorney's lack of cooperation, if that is what is causing the problem.
