If a person went to court for a DWI and already got that taken care of , can the court then issue a driving on the wrong side of the road charge? Keep in mind the DWI has been taken care of.

It depends upon the facts. If it was just one criminal episode, and there is a separate ticket, the state might be able to bring that separate ticket, later, but this is quite rare. The concept would probably be that it should have been dismissed in the DWI case, or perhaps was. What you need is an attorney on your side for this. Wreak refers to odor, and a lass is a girl. So, is this for stinky girl driving? I have never heard of that, but I have heard of and have handled many reckless driving cases.

If a person has charges of DWI and other charges that arose out of the same incident, it is better practice to have everything resolved at the same time. If not, then the other charges will remain outstanding. If your question is whether one can be charged with DWI and pleads to that and a later charge for reckless driving or driving left of center appears, everything is possible. However, the later charges could be dismissed if they arose out of the same incidence as the DWI. Having a lawyer would really help in this type of situation.

There are so many scenarios that come out of what you are asking. Is this one traffic stop or multiple traffic stops? Is there the option to combine the two if they are separate? Have you already looked into hire an attorney or a public defender? You are going to to need protection and hiring an attorney is your best option. Most likely if the incident arose out of a single traffic stop the court would likely combine the two.

If both charges arose out of the same incident, I have never seen a case where the DA was interested in prosecuting a reckless driving charge after He already had a conviction for DWI. I would hire a lawyer to see if they could not negotiate a dismissal of that charge in view of the the earlier resolution of the DWI case. Reckless driving is not a lesser included offense in DWI so double jeopardy would not apply.
