Hi, I am on H1B visa, and my ex-wife after we got divorced came back to US on F1 visa. If she has to apply for a SSN will there be any issue, as she already had her ITIN # applied before the divorce happened. what will be the proceedings or documents she might need to apply SSN. Does ITIN has to be cancelled or revoked? Thanks,

Unless she has an EAD, she is not eligible for a social security number as an F-1.

On student visa, SSN is not given, she needs to wait until she gets EAD (OPT) on her graduation.

once she is able to apply for SS number she will not do anything for ITIN.
