I got served a complaint for absolute divorce, summons, request for admissions, and interrogatories all at the same time. I know I have 30 days to respond to the summons. How long do I have to respond to the request for admissions and interrogatories?

Also thirty days. But now that you have that sewer do you know all the other rules about these? No. There are limits to what they can ask and what you have to provide. You also don't know what can hurt you or help you based on your answers or what things you can decline to answer based on various reasons. Or what happens if you don't reply. You also don't say when the discovery deadline is, or when the trial is. You may be able to ignore these depending on the answer. Some attorneys are procrastinators. All these are significant factors in how you answer and when you answer. I assume these are coming from an attorney not a normal person, so if you really want things to go well for you, you need help here

You have 30 days to file your answer, plus an additional 15 days to respond to the discovery requests (the normal 30 day response time to respond to discovery is extended the extra 15 days whenever discovery is served along with the complaint). I would be very careful about responding to the requests for admissions, and not being late in your response. Admissions are not like other discovery responses, and become conclusive on the facts admitted. Failure to respond in time is, by rule, an admission to those facts. You really need a lawyer to review this, ASAP. Discovery is ordinarily not served so quickly in divorce cases, and it suggests the lawyer on the other side is trying to get an advantage over you and possibly establish facts by default through your lack of knowledge about how the rules can work to your disadvantage. Hire counsel now.

You really need to meet with a highly experienced divorce attorney this week! You have 30 days to respond to a Complaint (60 if you are out of state and 90 if you are out of the country), plus an additional 15 to answer the divorce, but be aware that the Requests for Admissions cannot be overdue or those facts will be deemed true, even if you know they are not true. Don't waste a moment here, ok. Get to one of you who is a highly experienced divorce attorney asap, ok?

I agree with the other attorneys responses. You should sit down with an attorney sooner rather than later
