Can my probation officer arrest me for non payment
I lost my job and can't pay the first month of probation, but I wanted to request that it's tacked onto the next months payment

He can. However, with your recent job loss, you might not end up going to prison.

It is entirely up to the officer. They will usually violate you and then you can tell the judge what happened with your job and ask that the fine be turned into community service exchange.
