If a vacation home is rented 5 months out of the year, does it need to be wheelchair accessible?

I was wondering what legal ramifications can we face if the house is not wheelchair accessible? It is on a wooded lot with a steep incline up to the cabin, and you have to cross a lake to get to it. This is in the state of Minnesota, and I know their ADA laws are different for private homes. Thank you.

Here is general info': The protected classes under the Minnesota Human Rights Act are: race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, disability, sexual orientation, and familial status. It is illegal discrimination under Minnesota law to refuse to sell, rent, or lease housing to prospective residents, or have different rental terms, on the basis of one of these protected classes. This area of law is complicated, subject to frequent change, and contains some narrow exceptions. It is strongly advised that you inform yourself about Fair Housing laws by attending educational courses, reading published materials on the topic, and consulting with your attorney or other advisor. I urge you to pay an attorney to provide you with formal legal advice and counsel. Be wary of free advice. Tricia Dwyer Esq.
