Exposed to tick infestation late May-July 3, 2014 while providing ECI home base services to a child at his home as per job responsibilities. On Jun 21, 2012 I presented to Brighton ECI Director/Deputy with ticks that were removed from my body after a home base visit earlier that day. Home base services were then terminated (July 7, 2012) with family and reported to Child Protective Service. In late June 2012 started to feel ill. After 16 months of specialist visits, several ER admissions and 3 separate hospitalization admissions, symptoms continued to progress and worsen and remained unresolved until a Lyme test was administered. On Jan 14, 2014 a Lyme's diagnosis was confirmed by Dr Patricia Salvato a Lyme's Disease literate.
If the employer subscribes to workers compensation, You had to have reported your injury (Lyme disease) to your supervisor within 30 days from the time you knew or should've known you had sustained a work related injury. You really need to consult a local attorney

We don't have enough information to give you a definitive answer. But for certain, you should consult a local workers compensation attorney who can get all the facts, and best advise you how to proceed to protect your rights and get all the workers compensation benefits to which you may be entitled. You can search for an attorney through this site, by clicking the "Find a Lawyer" tab at the top of this page and then searching for a workers compensation attorney in your city and state.
