I got injured in a store while shopping. I reached up on their shelf to check out one of their clearance curtains and as i pulled the curtain down a open med size bottle of nail polish came tumbling down and crash on my toes, cracked on them causing bleeding, brusing and swelling. The polish which was green in color destroyed my sandals and got on my toes. I went to the emergency room because it was painful and due to my current health condition this has the potential for blood clotting episode. I take 10mg of coumadin daily for life. I have a 87% change of a repeat embolism. So, I panicked and went to hospital and now being followed up by doctors. I have to wear crutches and as of this date my toes are still very swollen. I have to be checked every 3 days for the next three weeks.

It is always a good idea to speak with a local personal injury/plaintiffs attorney. Each case is different, and a local attorney will ask all sorts of questions to allow him or her to figure out whether you have a potential case or not. A big question in this case is why was there nail polish next to curtains? Sounds like an interesting store. Good luck.

you should consult with a personal injury lawyer who can discuss the specifics with you to help determine if you have a claim worth pursuing. Sometimes, a store / insurance company is wiling to pay you a very small amount just to wrap it up quickly, so depending on what you are looking for you may consider doing that. However, most experienced personal injury attorneys can help you get more than the insurance company is likely to offer you on their own.

You should contact an attorney in the County in which you live (or surrounding counties) in your state. This could potentially result in a good settlement, but they will not usually offer someone a great deal of money unless represented by an attorney. Moreover, if you try to handle it yourself, well these corporations hope you will and will do everything they can to hurt your case and chance of recovering fair value for the harms and losses you have incurred.

Consulting with an experienced attorney is a great idea. Most attorneys will discuss the matter with you at no cost and with no obligation.
