I don't have the answer for you, but I would call Al-Anon, which is a group of folks dealing with alcoholic friends and family members. They might have some suggestions. Their Ann Arbor phone number is (734) 995-4949. Good Luck.
You should find your mother a good criminal lawyer experienced in DV cases. They can tell you where to go from there. He/She may also have suggestions of good rehab options.
Many jails have educational programs inside the jail that are voluntary that she can participate in. However, usually the court will not order "rehab" or drug rehabilitation unless she is convicted.
Most courts usually as a condition of her bond order drug testing and that she attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Considering the facts you presented they may also recommend anger management which is common in similar cases.
If your wish is to have her admitted in an intensive inpatient rehabilitation program there are many to choose from however they are not all created equal. Do some research and find which satisfies your needs i.e., financially, geographically, and hospitality.
Good luck with your mom
Your mother needs a good criminal defense attorney.
You need to speak with a probate attorney. I would lean towards a probate attorney with some experience with substance abuse and repeat criminal cases. I am guessing you have tried to have your mother voluntarily seek substance abuse treatment, and she has not. A probate attorney can assist you in getting a temporary guardianship over your mother, so that she can get the treatment that she needs.
