It is entirely up to you whether you use an attorney or not. It is always helpful to have one but if you are comfortable with proceeding on your own you may certainly do so.

It might be best to check with an attorney to make sure that you are actually eligible and help you with the process. Good luck!

Hi, you are under no requirements to have a lawyer file the documents, you can do it all yourself. However that being said a lawyer can help you file all the documents and ensure that you file the best application that you can. I often liken having a lawyer who is helping you with your immigration paperwork to having an accountant do your taxes you do not need one but they certainly help and they take away most of the stress an hassle that is associated with filing your taxes. I know I certainly prefer to have my taxes done by a professional who does that sort of thing every day.
