What do I write my employment status on Form I-864 if I am a Army veteran and am currently a full time student?

I am processing immigration for my parents. I separated from the Army in August 2014. On form I-864 (Affidavit Support), on part 6, what do i write my current employment status as? Since I get monthly housing and disability benefits every month, and my school sends me back balance amount of tuition because of scholarships, I can support my parents until they get a job, Do I still write it as unemployed? If I write unemployed, does it hurt my process?
Also, since it has been less than a year that I separated, do I still qualify under 100% HHS Poverty guidelines criteria?

Your current employment status is student. Your benefits can be outlined in the pay section. If you write unemployed, yes it will hurt your status, you are best served by getting a joint-sponsor. Particularly since you are petitioning for both parents. No, you do not qualify - I think it has to be active military. I'm an accredited veteran's attorney as well. Hit me up if you have anymore questions.
Assuming you are a U.S. Citizen, since only they can file for parents, you would indicate you are unemployed and more than likely you will need a cosponsor.
