If we turn in a signed leasing agreement after the owner decides to sell will we be guaranteed the same terms with the new owner

I am renting a house with my girlfriend. Our lease is up at the end of the month and the rental managment company sent us a new lease to sign by mail. So we physically have the new lease agreement but we have not yet signed it or turned it in to the property manager. The lease agreement was to be turned in on 7/1. The property manager called me yesterday and informed me that the owner now wishes to sell the property and gave us 60 days to vacate or purchase the house ourselves, which they would over see for a reduced rate. We would prefer to continue renting rather than purchase the property. So my question is: if we sign the lease and turn it in (to either the property manager or some civil entity) will we technically be under a new lease and thus guaranteed the same rental agreement?
Reading your question literally, I'm guessing there's a real estate agent out there telling the landlord to put you out before signing a listing agreement. That actually happened to me in Napa last year.
If you have a good relationship with your landlord, propose that you will righteously support his efforts to sell the property if he will let you stay. Offer to get out promptly at closing, provided you've had at least 30 days notice. These things may work.
Notwithstanding agent's opining to the contrary, there are investor buyers out there. And a buyer occupant may be flexible on timing. So if you are willing to be flexible, you may be able to negotiate a positive result.
In the meantime, be prepared to get out on time, if your efforts to negotiate do not succeed. Make the agent the bad guy, not your landlord. Speak to your landlord's compassionate side. It can work!
As I re-read your question I see there is a property manager involved. Layers in discussions can work in at least two directions. do the best you can and don't take the results personally.
It sounds like the offer to rent the property to you was revoked prior to you agreeing and signing the new lease. You might want to talk to your landlord and see if he would allow you to enter into a new lease agreement.
It sounds like the landlord rescinded its offer for a new lease when it gave you a 60 day notice. You didn't accept in time. The landlord isn't obligated to renew the lease. Discuss with your landlord to see what can be done.
