Arizona doesn't have a true expungement like some other states. What we have is a set aside pursuant to ARS 13-907. There are some requirements that need to be met before you can file for it. Your best bet is to schedule a consultation with a local criminal attorney to review your particular situation and proceed from there.

Thank you for the questions and comments. While we do not use the word "expunge" in Arizona, we instead use the term / method "Motion to Set Aside." If successful, would often allows people to be relieved of many of the consequences of their criminal conviction. Please be aware. Only certain convictions can be set aside. While the list is quite extensive, there are a select few convictions that will not qualify. Ultimately, you want to talk to an attorney who will review your conviction (sentencing, plea agreement -- if there is one, etc.) What was your sentence? Were you placed on probation? DoC? As a former probation officer, and of course attorney, I can tell you that success on probation or showing that you completed EVERY facet of your sentence is very important. Many attorneys offer free consults on these matters. Call or email to schedule a free consult.

More information would be needed as to the level of offense as a class 6 undesignated offense can be reduced to misdemeanor. However, you indicated that you completed parole, which suggests that you did prison time and likely have a designated felony. There is no expungement in AZ, but as the other attorneys mentioned, a motion to set aside the judgment of guilt and restoration of civil a rights can be filed. My office and most criminal defense attorneys offer free consultations. Good luck!

You can apply to have your conviction set aside pursuant to ARS § 13-907. Depending on your criminal history, and whether you went to prison or were put on probation, you may also need to file to have your civil rights restored and gun rights restored. A criminal defense attorney can certainly help you. Many, including myself, offer free consultations.
