My I 485 application pending and I just received (RFE) ! I have an attorney but he wanted 1500 $ to submit the request so I submitted all the request of evidence before time without his help and the USCIS received it already and I sent him an email and (a letter saying that his services are no longer needed as my wife and I do not have the necessary funds to continue retaining him as our Attorney and we are aware of the request of evidence)so I just received a letter from him saying he will terminate all my legal services on my behalf If We don't contact him about the request of evidence. ???? How come ,is that even possible, I already did submit the request to the USCIS? Please help
Sometimes when you submit documents which the attorney does not get to review, they are not comfortable in continuing to represent you. The attorney is merely informing you of that.
Normally the terms of engagement would permit counsel to withdraw for various reasons, including failure to pay, failure to follow counsel's advice, etc.
Hi, you need to review your client agreement to precisely understand the scope of representation. I am positive that it contains clauses re. termination of representation by either party.
