What is the procedure of changing the ownership information on a CA LLC that is duly recorded, active and in good standing?

I am one of the 2 co-owners (50% co-ownership) of a CA LLC that is duly incorporated, active, and in good standing with the CA SoS. I will be shortly transferring my share to my existing partner and would like to know what forms I need to file with the CA SoS to make the relevant change in the records. Secondly, the LLC also has an entity (A DBA) registered with the county clerk/recorder. I want to have the DBA transferred from the LLC back into my name. Any ideas how to go about re-registering the DBA under my own name? Thanks. David

You need to file a new Statement of Information, if you are no longer going to be an officer. You also need to update the operating agreement. A full consultation would be necessary to properly advise you.

Ownership of an LLC is not a public record. Managers (and under some circumstances Members and officers) are public record through the Statement of Information. A DBA is not an entity, it is just a name. You abandon the DBA by the LLC and refile and publish under your own name.
