How can I get back to work in the health care field with a felony?

In 2012 I was the driver of DUI crash in Minnesota. Two people were injured one with great bodily harm the other with substantial bodily harm. I've been on probation for 2 years now and I'm looking to go back to the hospital for work. I've completed every program and have not violated. is there a chance that I can get back into the health care field if I file a P.C 1203.4 and request an governors pardon. I understand that the conviction will not go away, but I want to know if when my name is ran for background checks will that show up and how will it look to employers.

You will nee to contact the board of health in MN. I know there attorneys who work exclusively with eh boards of health to help people like yourself get back to work.
Your best course of action contact a local attorney, either by email or phone, who will protect you and your rights.
The best way to do this is by clicking on the find a lawyer tab on . Then find one that will offer a free consultation. This benefits you in two way, first and foremost you need to find an attorney who fits well with you and secondly to make sure that they are skilled enough to take on your case. The best case scenario is that you get your questions answered and you get a powerful attorney to help you if you need one.
Minnesota's expungement laws changed at the beginning of this year. After you are discharged from probation you may qualify for expungement relief. You should speak with a knowledgeable expungement lawyer for advice on what steps you can take in the meanwhile, and to determine exactly when you can begin the expungement process. Good luck.
I've represented doctors before. The problem is you have a alcohol/drug related conviction. You're too much of a liability to hospital employers because you have an alcohol / drug related conviction and if later, an accident occurs at the hospital and it's due to you being intoxicated, the hospital could be sued for punitive damages for employing you because they knew or should have know your issues with drugs/alcohol.
It's way too much liability for them. I once had a hospital recruiter as a client. They stated to me point blank, the hospital would never consider anyone convicted of an alcohol related drug crime unless they were an expert in their field / world renowned.
A pardon? - I really doubt that's going to happen... you realize how rare that is and, in the scheme of things, you were just convicted.
