Currently on STEM Extension which expires in November. Company will be applying for green card application now. With an application in progress, am I legally allowed to stay in the country and continue working at my current place of employment after my STEM extension status ends in November ?

this question is best answered by the counsel handling the case, but if your I-140 is approved and you have filed for adjustment and work permit you may be able to continue your employment after your EAD is received.

Hi, I concur with the other attorney. Talk to your employer's attorney who should know best about your case. An approved EAD will allow you to work.

If you mean that you will be filing an application for adjustment of status, then yes, you can stay in the U.S. for the duration of your timely filed application for adjustment of status.

It isn't clear what you mean by "applied for green card." If you mean that the LCA has been approved, the I-140 has been approved, and the company has already filed the I-485, then you will get the EAD within 3 months and at that point it won't matter that your OPT has expired.
