Can i transfer my H1B before its activated
My employer applied for my H1B. I got picked up and got approval as well. I want to switch my job. But my H1B only gets activated in October. Can i still apply for transfer ?

Yes, a new employer can petition you for an H1b.

as long as you activate your H-1 then you can transfer.

The immigration attorney of the prospective employer will be able to guide you as to the proper time for the employer to file the FORM I -129H.

Are you currently working with the petitioning employer? You say "switch my job" which is confusing as I am unable to understand whether it was picked in this year's lottery or you hold H-1B status from a prior year.
