Guru’s please need urgent advise… Today received email that 485 was suspended and need more information. Yet to receive as to what documentation is needed. EB3 PD April 20, 2004. Planning to go to India next week. Will be out for 6 weeks. Is it safe? I will have someone check my mails and let me know what documentation is needed. If its urgent we can come back soon but can we travel? Will be returning on AP document.

It is never safe to travel when you are awaiting a RFE which needs to be answered within 87 days or your case will be denied.

If your I-485 has been pending for a long time than the request for more documentation is probably a new medical exam or an updated employment letter. You can travel with your AP but you may need to cut your trip short if the response deadline for the information is before 6 weeks.
