Got an update stating 'new card is being produced'. What does it mean.
Already have EADs and this was for i485. What does this word 'new' card indicate. Also, how long does it take for the card to arrive if it means the card is in production.

Without knowing the details of your case, one can only surmise that the I-485 was approved and your green card is being produced. The online system is notoriously unreliable, however. You should receive the card within 30 days.

It is possible that USCIS may have approved the FORM I-485 but you will need to wait until the resident card is actually in your possession. Keep in mind that the USCIS online system is not 100% accurate.

Did you have the I-485 interview? It could be for the green card, not the EAD. Make sure that you are submitting the correct receipt number. It could also be that USCIS has not updated the website. USCIS states that it will have the card to the recipient between 10 and 45 days of approval. It our experience it is closed to 10.
