We have been separated for almost four years, I speak to him sparingly, I do not know where he lives or works, we have an 18 years old daughter, going to college, she is with me full time and I receive no support from him. I would like to file for divorce myself and be done, I do not know how he would be served. we own one Motorcycle together at this time and share a phone bill and insurance. I lost the house to foreclosure in October of 2014.

I am sorry to rad some of these facts (the house issue). The good news is your daughter is seemingly doing well and you are seemingly making it without his money. So you can absolutely file for a dissolution of marriage. You will have to get the papers served upon him. Once that happens, the Denver County courts move things along at a reasonable pace and if there are no hotly contested issues, you could be done in just over three months. You really ought to consider sitting down with an experienced family law attorney who has worked in Denver before. The presiding judge (Judge McGahey) runs a tight ship over there and I like the way things are going as far as docket management goes.
