Any options for past due vehicle registration?

7 views 3 answers
Hello, I've always(almost always)benefited from the input I've received here,or read based on other's questions. Basically for the first time in over 20 years of driving. I've been unable to register my car. It was due in April, that is when my work dwindled greatly. I'm doing everything I can. I was pulled over in June. Officers were very understanding, and gave me about a month. I'm still unable at the moment. I'm due at the courthouse to prove it was taken care of. Would the clerk or whomever be open to a payment plan? Please refrain from any negative or condescending replies. I've seen that before with these kinds of questions. I'm not irresponsible. Work has changed. Thanks

You can usually get an extension if that is what is holding you up. Explain that to the Judge, he will give you some time.

Unfortunately you will continue to be pulled over and cited for failure to register your vehicle. You will need to register your vehicle as the courts and police are relentless on this issue. It's the easiest and most objective way for a police offier to pull someone over.
