Is illegal to videotape without consent a meeting I had at City Hall with Assistant City Manager and a Director

For my own protection I want to record a meeting with a City Manager and Director. I believe they will try and use threats and intimidation to have me preform a certain task. Can I videotape this meeting at City Hall without their consent?

It depends on where this meeting takes place. If it is in a private office where there is a reasonable expectation that the conversation will not be overheard, then recording i is a criminal act. If the meeting is open to the public or takes place in a public forum, then recording is not prohibited.
