I caught someone attempting to come into my apt. My landlord never changed my key. He has come in more than once to steal.

He's currently facing three felonious charges and my landlord never made it clear that he didn't change my key when I moved in. My stolen items were returned because of confession. The individual noted that he had a key from prior tenant because he knew him. When he was attempting to come in my apt, it was evident he was not maintenance. Do I have a case against my landlord?

Go to Walmart and buy a new lock for ten bucks. Give one of the keys to your landlord. You can sue him for any damages that you incurred. It sounds like your property was returned. A lawsuit consists of liability and damages. You need both.
