While your driving without a license was not legal, if you did not get a ticket, then there should be no issue.
As to the accident your lack of a valid license has nothing to do with who was at fault for causing the accident. You have the right to be compensated for the property damage and/or personal injuries (including medical bills, wage loss and pain and suffering) caused by the accident.
You should file a claim against the other driver's insurance for property damage caused by the accident. If you are injured, get appropriate treatment and seek the help of a reputable personal injury attorney.
Hope this helps.

It is irrelevant that you did not have a driver's license in regards for fault for the accident. You should make a claim against the other driver's insurance for your damages.
You may have a further problem with the DMV for driving on a suspended license and may have to pay a fine and could have your license suspended for a longer period of time.

I agree with both comments above. I have handled a number of cases where my client (the injured party) had insurance but no license. Some of them were required to go to traffic court, some lost their licenses, but in no case did it preclude recovery for their injuries.
