Do i have the right to contest a service charge for a rental company?
I have rented a property. Since day one been having trouble with a toilet. They sent someone out now 5 times over the last 6 months. The latest time they are trying to charge me$275.00 service charge. The first guy that came out said that the septic tank had tree roots in it. This was after two weeks of making the request. Next time the gentlemen stated that it was something else as i do not remember why. The most recent time they ran a camera snake down. Me and my family was told immediately by the warranty company that this is caused by roots in the drain fill. They tried to charge me the $39.00 service charge that i later had removed. They stated for the $275.00 was for crayons in the pipe and they had this on video. I asked for a copy of the video as this was not the reason told to me.
