Do I need to file for an extension of time to plead if I am still awaiting a ruling on a motion I filed in CT?

I filed a Motion to Determine the Sufficiency of Answers of the Plaintiff's RFA responses and am currently awaiting the court's ruling. The court has already granted me an extension of time to plead because the Motion I filed had not been heard at that point. Now that the Motion has been heard, I find myself awaiting the ruling with only two weeks left on my extension to plead. The Motion was heard on July 20th. Do I just file for another extension of time, since I am waiting on the court's ruling? How many days can I ask for in the next motion for extension of time? I want to allow enough time for the court's orders (if any) to be complied with before I file my answer to the Plaintiff's complaint.
