completing order and work release. I was under the impression one can apply for early parole at 1/2 the minimum which in my case would be at 180 days. i've already served 107. How do I go about finding a lawyer who can help me with this in Washington County? Even if paroled to house arrest was an option, that would be fine. I'm really just trying to go back to the recovery house I lived for the past 13 months as I'm 13 months sober.

My first suggestion would be to contact the attorney who represented you when your originally faced these charges. That attorney will already have the background knowledge of your case, which may be beneficial. If you choose not to go back to that attorney, or if it was the PD's office, a good place to start would be the Find a Lawyer feature above to search for criminal defense attorneys in your area. Many Pittsburgh attorneys also practice in Washington county. If your question is whether or not you can apply for early parole, that will depend on if this is a state sentence or county sentence. With county sentences, judges retain parole jurisdiction and can grant parole early. With state sentences, the state parole board makes the decisions and, unless you were RRRI eligible, parole eligibility occurs at the minimum. Good luck.

I agree with my colleague Ms. Smith. You should first start by consulting with the attorney that represented you regarding this matter. If you're not comfortable with this, then contact a local attorney and they will definitely need the information Ms. SMith wrote about earlier. Good luck!
