Again, if someone that is great at harassment cases can advise me; either via phone or in person. I just filed a counter case of harassment and had a probable cause hearing and the Judge did find probable cause for the charges. i just want my case and his to go away; we were excellent friends, and this girl is like blackmailing him or something. i take it he will get served this week as the probable cause hearing was Yesterday, then I think he get arraigned, I think there is a conference before the trial and when I'm hoping I can just get us to both drop this. ( I live in Morris county)
If you cannot afford an attorney, contact the the local County Bar Association to find out if they can ask an attorney to represent you Pro Bono. If not, then call the local law school legal clinics. Good luck.
I strongly encourage you to retain an attorney. You have rights since you have been charged with a crime or an offense and an attorney can navigate the case for you. You can apply for a public defender if you can't afford one.

Mr Boyer has given you good advice. Often, attorneys who participate in the bar association's lawyer referral program will offer a free initial consultation. You can be referred to a few lawyers in the area of law in which you need help. This way you can "interview" some attorneys to find a suitable match. Many lawyers accept credit cards. I have had clients who have paid me with a cash advance check drawn on a credit card account. Best of luck.
