Automobile accident suit: In 2011, I was rear ended by a driver who did not have Liability Insurance. I filed suit under the uninsured motorist portion of my policy. The exam revealed whiplash (concussion), headaches and injuries to neck, arm & shoulder. Treatments are still ongoing. The only improvement was the temporary disappearance of my headaches after about a year, which returned in 2013, and have been increasing in severity ever since. I did not claim any loss of Income in this suit.
Group long term disability claim: In the fall of 2013 I was diagnosed with Migraines. In late 2014 I filed a Claim for LTD for severe Migraine Headache, with my employer's disability insurance. Medical treatments are ongoing & covered by health Insurance.

Typically, other than Medicare, your PI settlement will not likely have any effect on your benefits if you are getting SSD. If you are getting SSI, however, the settlement will absolutely have some impact for some number of months, depending on the amount of the settlement
Since the LTD benefits are from a private source and are not means based you probably should not have any offset or reduction from the personal injury case. Have your attorney review the disability benefits policy to ascertain same.

I can only assume that you have a personal injury attorney working for you on your uninsured motorist claim. Take your disability insurance contracts to your personal injury attorney to have him or her review it in order to answer your question. The terms of the disability policy will control the answer.
