How do you slow down the K1 process?

3 views 3 answers
K1 visas are being pushed through super fast for some reason. We do not want my fiance to come over here until after Christmas and we sent our petition in mid-July thinking this would work for our time frame. We have just received our Notice of Action 2, after only 3 weeks. Is there any way for us to drag our feet and slow things down on our end? He will be here for Halloween at this rate! I'm just not clear on when things expire, and how long we have to turn in documents and move on to the next steps.

Fiance'e visa is valid for only four months and needs to be taken care within that time frame. Consulate can revalidate it if required after getting all the documents.

They are going that fast as you present them go. Many wish they would have but they are not. You fiance will have time to come in after the visa is issued so after Christmas should not be a problem.

The visa will be good for 4 months .. schedule the appointment for Sept/Oct and travel can take place next Jan/Feb.
