Can my landlord sue me if I am not on the lease? Can they ask for unpaid rent, damage fees or court costs for the eviction?

I received a 3 day pay or quit yesterday with my name on it. My ex boyfriend and his brother are on the lease, I am not. I have a restraining order against my ex who moved out in M(hopefully another 30 days) but can the landlord sue me for any prior damages to the house or for rent owed? Or will my ex and his brother get the bill? The management company does have my social security number because I sent them an application last month with plans of moving the lease into my name, but I changed my mind and it was never ran. They are aware he is no longer living here.
A better question is why do you think you can live there without paying rent?
Obviously, you're in a tough spot. Don't make it worse by getting jammed up with landlord. Manager will get fired if he doesn't straighten this out - put yourself in her shoes.
Sit down with manager, ask for help, work out problem. Be open to compromise.
That's how you solve problems without court. Or lawyers. Whatever you do, put personal safety first! Good luck!
Well if your name is not on the lease then you should not be the one for the landlord to come after. I don't see how your credit could be affected when u legally had no agreement with them...
