I applied for asylum in Los Angeles by your office for one year and till this moment I do not get the interview ..I have an opportunity to work and stay in Washington ...when I applied for asylum I put the address of my relative in Los Angeles who I stay with till this moment .. I do not want to tell the immigration that I want to change my address to Washington because I can go back anytime for the interview and any mail from asylum office can be sent to his house in LA and I do not want my case to be delayed if I transfer my case to Washington .. my question is : Can I stay in Washington and have an address there for my work and for driver license which I want to apply there and let my asylum case and my address for immigration still in Los Angeles ? is it legally ? I agree with Attorney Shusterman. You don't need an asylum officer questioning your motives and credibility when you are fighting for a grant of asylum.

No, will not work if you in fact move to WA permanently for employment. Will have to notify USCIS of that address change, if permanent, i.e. more than "temporary", by filing Form AR-11 online.

If you reside in Washington, then you must file a change of address with the asylum office.
